Yield Manager
Overview
Clearspring Technologies, the world's largest widget development and syndication platform with over 110M monthly unique users, is seeking to add a talented and dynamic Yield Manager to our McLean, VA based advertising solutions team. The Yield Manager will maintain overall accountability for managing inventory levels and maximizing revenue opportunities for Clearspring and our publisher network which includes NBC, Disney, ESPN, Fox, Sony, Paramount, and MTV. Responsibilities will include ongoing tactical analysis and alignment of supply and demand related to widget advertising solutions in production, as well as strategic planning and recommendations to shape future Clearspring platform offerings.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maximizing yield on advertising inventory across the widget distribution network and widget advertising network
- Review and approve new websites entering the network for margin potential and meeting inventory needs to match advertiser demand
- Monitoring and balancing inventory supply against advertiser demand on the widget distribution network and widget advertising network
- Providing detailed historical analysis and forward looking sell through analysis for the widget advertising network
- Ensuring communications related to inventory levels, yield, and forecasts are made consistently and regularly to advertising operations, sales, and executive teams
- Provide strategic guidance on advertising rates and inventory allocation based on historical inventory flow, forecasted demands, and emerging new media trends
Required Skills/Experience
- Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Advertising, Marketing or related discipline
- 5+ years professional experience in online media, preferably with direct experience managing yield for an established advertising network
- Proven ability to establish and manage process across in an organization
- Demonstrated ability to maintain full accountability for mission critical projects
- Extraordinary analytical skills, and the ability to make magic with raw data in Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external partners
