Publisher Sales Manager
Overview
Clearspring Technologies, is the leading widget development and syndication platform. We are looking to add a seasoned sales professional to oversee the addition and integration of online media publishers into the Clearspring network. The contributions made by the Manager of Publisher Sales to expanding the depth and breadth of our partnerships with traditional media, Web 2.0, and social media companies will play a key role in the evolution of Clearspring's platform and product offerings.
Primary Responsibilities
- Initiating, structuring, and managing client and strategic partnerships with traditional media, causal gaming, Web 2.0, and social media entities in the San Francisco Bay area
- Representing Clearspring at networking events, meet-ups, industry events, trade shows to evangelize the platform and service offerings to potential partners
- Maintaining continuous communication with Sales, Product Management, and other Clearspring functions to define and refine product offerings and evolving revenue/distribution models
- Providing regular updates to executives on prospects, pipeline, and completed partnerships
Required Skills/Experience
- Proven track record of business development or sales within the Web/software industry
- Deep knowledge of online media including syndication, affiliate networks, and advertising models
- Demonstrated experience with establishing and growing successful business partnerships through creative problem solving, negotiation, and extraordinary customer service
- Knowledge of and passion for social media, Web 2.0, and the evolution of the distributed web
- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or technical/engineering field
- 5+ years professional experience, with a minimum of 3 years in business development/sales/account management for online media company or advertising agency
- Exemplary verbal, written, and client facing communication skills
